June Is Upon Us!
The month of June has started strong! This week alone, we had three field days, a concert, and three different evening award ceremonies. It was a great pleasure of mine to attend these events and see the joy on the faces of our students, staff, and families.
As we look ahead to the final weeks of the school year, I’m excited for the celebrations still to come, including more field days, student performances, and our beloved moving up and commencement ceremonies. These milestone moments are some of the most heartwarming of the year. While we will all be selfishly sad to see our seniors leave us, we know they are well prepared to do great things and carry the spirit of Harborfields wherever they go.

Keep up the great work, we are so proud of you!

Celebrating Outstanding Academic Achievement
At the annual Cum Laude Awards Breakfast, high school seniors were recognized for their academic achievements and years of hard work. Students were honored with medals based on their unweighted GPAs: Summa Cum Laude (97.00–100.00 grade point average), Magna Cum Laude (95.00–96.99 grade point average), and Cum Laude (93.00–94.99 grade point average). Congratulations to all of our honorees on this outstanding accomplishment!

Fashion Classes Welcome Industry Experts
The Advanced Fashion I & II classes at Harborfields High School welcomed industry experts Joe Kassner and Penny Payne to share their expertise with students. Mr. Kassner, a district parent and professional costume designer, spoke about his career in local theater and showcased several of his most creative, custom-built designs. Ms. Payne toured the fashion classroom, viewed the students' handmade apparel, and offered valuable professional feedback based on her extensive career with Simplicity Patterns and local theater costume design.
It was an enjoyable educational experience for everyone in Ms. Rottkamp’s fashion program!

SEPTA Appreciation Dinner - Please Join Us!
We hope you can join us on Tuesday, June 16th for the SEPTA Appreciation Dinner where the community will come together for an evening dedicated to celebrating five extraordinary individuals whose compassion, dedication, and commitment have made a lasting difference in the lives of Harborfields students and families.
Beyond honoring the deserving recipients listed below, the evening provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with parents, educators, administrators, and community members who share a dedicated commitment to supporting all learners. It is a time to hear inspiring stories that remind us of the immense impact one person can have on a child's life, while celebrating the incredible work being done throughout our district. We look forward to enjoying an evening filled with community, conversation, dinner, raffles, and heartfelt appreciation.
I hope you will join us as SEPTA recognizes the following individuals;
